Vision

The vision is not to recreate the game as true to the original as possible, but merely to use it as a basis to build and improve upon. Some areas will be entirely the same, others will be completely transformed. The game consists of:

- HD models and textures

- Modern-day player mechanics

- Complete recreation from scratch of the world in Unity, split into 9 individual levels

- Completely new main menu created from scratch with some legacy sound effects

- Switch between 1st and 3rd person view mode

- Mix between original Trespasser dinosaur sound effects and new ones

- First-time added HD physics, water bodies, terrain textures, sounds, effects, fog and environmental animals

- An entire never-before seen level replacing the unreleased Pine Valley section with a new area

- Significant changes to the plains/dam area after the town with assets from Pine Valley

- Extended map section between the Lab and Ascent 1 maps that was missing in the original game

- A more realistic transition between the raptor gorge and the second part of the Canyon level

- 7 additional prehistoric animal species and counting

- Beach area of Jungle Road is closer in its design to its cousin from The Lost World movie

- Slight variations in terms of where and when audio snippets are played

Anne's arm mechanic will not be implemented. Most dinosaur designs are more up-to-date with the latest paleontological findings and will not be in the Jurassic Park style. However, a Trespasser-style velociraptor might be added to choose to play with instead of the standard raptor. The reason for the more accurate models are availability and personal preference.
